Ballot War: Jagan power hungry: Modi

By SNV Sudhir

Visakhapatnam, May 1, 2014: In a direct attack on YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, for the first time, BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, asked voters in Seemandhra to defeat, mother- son duo of Delhi and Seemandhra.

He was referring to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi at Centre and YS Vijayalakshmi and YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a mammoth gathering, despite drenched in heavy rain, Modi, upped his ante against Jagan here on Thursday and said YSR Congress birth is only for Chief Minister Chair. Party is very power hungry, Modi said.

“YSRC was not launched with ideals and principles. It was formed only to grab power. The party doesn’t have any values. I appeal you all to defeat both mother-son duo of Delhi and Seemandhra. You should defeat those who were indulged in economic offences and went to jail,” Modi said.

He vowed to turn Vizag as an international business hub and appealed to vote for BJP and TD in the state to make Swarnandhra (Golden Andhra Pradesh). “It was former prime minister, AB Vajpayee’s idea of Vizag be a part of Sagaramala by developing ultra modern international sea port. Give us mandate we will turn Vizag into an international business hub,” said Modi.

TD supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief, Pawan Kalyan who also took part in the meeting too preferred to  attack Jagan.

Chandrababu Naidu said that vote to YSRC will go to Congress and said the party is a family entity.  Pawan Kalyan, too took a barb at Jagan, for fielding his mother, in the polls and making her hit the dusty roads under the scorching sun.

“At the age to take rest, Jagan for his self-interest, brought his mother on to roads under the scorching sun. How can he be a good son? A person for his selfishness had dragged his mother on to the roads and how can we trust such a person to take care of people’s welfare,” Pawan said.

Jagan’s mother YS Vijayalakshmi is contesting for Vizag Lok Sabha.
