Kiran's party aimed at Telugu Desam, says Chandrababu Naidu

Visakhapatnam, March 12, 2014: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday likened the TRS, YSR Congress and former chief minister N. Kiran Reddy’s just launched Jai Samaikyandhra Party as various faces of the “10 headed Congress demon” and asked the public not to vote for them.

Addressing a huge gathering of party activists and grass root leaders at the Indira Priyadarshini municipal stadium here as part of his state wide “Praja Garjana” programme, Mr Naidu said, “TRS, YSRC and the newly launched party by Kiran Kumar Reddy are various faces of the 10 headed Congress demon. Your vote will be wasted if given to Kiran’s party. He has done nothing when he was the chief minister, what can we expect from him now? This is part of a Congress conspiracy to spoil the chances of the TD coming to power. But I am confident that the TD will come to power and bring development both in Seemandhra and Telangana.”

He also promised to create many Hyderabad Like cities across Seemandhra if voted to power.

Mr Naidu added that it was he who had put Hyderabad on the global map. “I had got the chance to become prime minister of this country twice, but refused the chair and wanted to be in Andhra Pradesh to work for the development of the state. TD picked PMs of this country earlier and it is going to play a crucial role at the Centre this time too,” he said and regretted that the BJP didn’t meet his expectations in Parliament to fight for equal justice to both the regions.

He also accused Congress president Sonia Gandhi for trying to dig the TD’s grave with the help of TRS in Telangana and YSRC in Seemandhra. “But the Congress is unaware that it has dug it’s own grave,” he said.

The TD chief further said that his government would pick the capital after coming to power and found fault with Mrs Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for not talking about development in Telangana and Seemandhra.

Former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, along with four MLAs of the district, joined the Telugu Desam in the presence of Mr Naidu on Wednesday.

The TD chief is perturbed over the damage the new party, Janasena, to be launched by Pawan Kumar this Friday, would likely to cause to his comeback plans. Naidu have been upset with Pawan Kalyan for keeping his political moves a secret. Sources said Mr Naidu had sent a word to the actor to discuss about his political plans but the latter did not specify the date of meeting despite agreeing to it. Sources close to Naidu said the party would not mind seat sharing and spare 10-15 seats. A clear picture might emerge only after March 14 when the actor will reveal his plans to the public.
