According to reliable sources in BJP, While the saffron
party has asked for 7 loksabha and 25 assembly seats in coastal Andhra and
Rayalseema regions, TDP is said to have agreed for 3 loksabha and 8 assembly
seats.
Not happy with the TDP’s proposal, BJP Andhra Pradesh unit
has left the decision over alliance with TDP to the party central leadership.
BJP AP unit, president, Kambhampati Haribabu said that they are ready to go to
polls alone without any alliance with TDP, if the party leadership asks so.
“Talks are still on. There is a stalemate. We mat get
clarity on seat sharing in another 2 days. We have informed the outcome of the
talks with our party president and other leaders of central leadership. We are
even ready to go it alone without any alliances in AP if our central leadership
desires so,” said Haribabu.
It is reliably learnt that the meetings of BJP national
leader Prakash Javdekar with TD leaders in the last week, on seat sharing, has
hit a road block, with both the parties
not willing to spare Vizag and Vijayawada seats.
While the TD was willing to give away Tirupathy, Narasapuram
and Rajampet seats to BJP, Chandrababu Naidu is not so keen to give away Vizag
and Vijayawada
seats to the saffron party.
It is learnt that, TD is also ready to give, 5 more assembly
seats, but not ready to compromise on the loksabha seats which resulted in a
stalemate in the talks between the leaders of both the parties. TD wanted to let one assembly in every
district of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions to the BJP.
Meanwhile, after TD, the saffron party, BJP, turned out to
be a hot favourite destination now a days, for the defectors. In a surprise
development, hundreds of activists from various political parties joined BJP
Vizag unit at a party workers meeting held on Sunday. Till recently nobody was
interested in joining the saffron party.
